Role Summary

The chief data officer (CDO) is responsible for enterprise wide governance and utilisation of our data in order to deliver the bank Mission to be the digital leader in Funding for CZ households and entrepreneurs. We are looking for a inspirational Data leader to join our management team to make the bank the leader in Data and Open Banking in the CZ region.

Key results areas

  • Leads the implementation of the Bank Data Strategy to make the bank the leading bank in data Cz region. Selection a prioritization of Data use cases to accelerate the growth and profitability of the bank
  • Data driven company – Inspirational leader to implement a data driven Culture.
  • Big data driven customer profiling
  • APIs and open banking strategy
  • Implementation of required new technology (data lake, data mining, streaming) aligned with the bank Cloud strategy
  • Explore options to monetize data

Essential Responsibilities

  • Treat data as an asset and improve quality of customer data. Implementation of self service BI to improve the usage of data
  • Improve the bank data capabilities to simplify the bank internal processes and to understand financial needs of CZ households and entrepreneurs (NTB)
  • Implementation of APIs to offer our products in high-traffic platforms through the API SQUAD and to attract more customers to our Web and APP by MULT BANKING
  • Create up to date data infrastructure (e.g. data lake) with real time data capabilities
  • Leading data teams in the area of Business Intelligence (BI), API and Data Scientists
  • Reporting to Board/COO and part of the Agile Transformation Team


  • Enthusiastic data leader with motivation to be the best
  • Experienced with Big data-driven customer profiling
  • Experiences with implementation of commercial APIs
  • Commercial drive and ability to build data eco system with in and external data partners
  • Commitment to team skills development and ability to attract top data talent
  • Experienced change agent, able to guide cross-functional teams through complex change from concept to execution
  • Strong leadership skills – lead by example, champion change and develop a highly motivated team to consistently exceed expectations
  • Vision and experience to build a state art data infrastructure in the cloud
